He said: “such participation in social media had led to disclosure of sensitive official government information and correspondences.
‘’All public servants are reminded that unauthorized disclosure of official government information and false allegations against government officials constitutes acts of gross serious misconduct punishable under public service rules-PSR number 030401.
‘’ the unethical participation of some serving public servants in the social media put to question their loyalty to government, which is also a serious misconduct that violates public service rules-PSR number 030403.
The release further reminded public servants to remain strictly guided on the way and manner to use the social media platforms and to respect the civil service pristine dictum of remaining impeccable characters.
Permanent Secretaries and Chief Executive Officers of parastatals and extra government departments were also directed to highlight the contents of the circular on participation on social media platforms to the attention of public servants in the state and to remain vigilant on movement of government sensitive documents.
