Keir Starmer has made his first cabinet appointments after the Labour Party’s landslide victory, ending 14 years of Conservative rule, and has been asked by King Charles III to form a government.

This marks the end of 14 years of Conservative rule.

Starmer, the first Labour PM since Gordon Brown in 2010, was asked by King Charles III to form a government during a meeting at Buckingham Palace on Friday.
