Iheanacho has been in fine form for the former Premier League champions, scoring two goals in his last three appearances. He played a pivotal role in Leicester City’s equalizing goal against Leeds United at Elland Road before picking up the injury.
Smith acknowledged the significance of Iheanacho’s injury and its impact on the team’s performances, saying, “It’s a blow. He came on at half-time against Man City and did ever so well. He played really well in the Wolves game as well. He scored the penalty and created chances. His all-round displays have been really good, so it’ll be a loss, but it’s an opportunity for others.”
