EKO HOT BLOG reports that Nollywood actor and politician Kenneth Okonkwo has announced his decision to suspend his association with the Julius Abure-led National Working Committee of the Labour Party (LP).

He emphasized that his priority is a new Nigeria, stating that he would rather lose doing the right thing than win doing the wrong thing.

In a post on his X account on Tuesday, Okonkwo criticized the current Abure-led National Working Committee, describing it as another incompetent and corrupt organization, akin to the All Progressives Congress (APC) which he previously left.

He further alleged that the national convention organized by Abure was marred by criminality and corruption.

The post reads: “I am suspending my relationship in all ramifications with the purported Abure-led National Working Committee of Labour Party.

For me, it’s either a new Nigeria or nothing. I prefer to lose doing the right thing to winning doing the wrong thing.
