EKO HOT BLOG reports that Reverend Mike Ochigbo, the General Overseer of Freedom Power Chapel and a popular television preacher and motivational speaker, has been reported to have regained his freedom after being kidnapped at gunpoint from his residence in Nyibango during the early hours of Wednesday.
Another online news platform claimed that Ochigbo was released on Friday morning after he allegedly paid a ransom of N10 million.
Despite this, the Adamawa State Police Command spokesperson, SP Suleiman Nguroje, said that they had already dispatched operatives to rescue both Ochigbo and another pastor, John Moses, who were kidnapped by gunmen.
The state’s Commissioner of Police, CP Afolabi Babatola, deployed operatives from different tactical squads to carry out a 24/7 intelligence-driven operation in criminal hideouts and black spots.
