  • Kidnapped DPO has regained freedom after six days in Kidnappers’ den.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Fugar, Etsako Central Local Government Area of Edo State, CSP Ibrahim Ishaq, has been rescued on Thursday night.

His abductors had demanded a ransom of N50 million before releasing the DPO.

Ishaq was allegedly kidnapped while driving his private vehicle along the old Auchi-Ekperi- Agenebode road by gunmen suspected to be kidnapper.

He was said to be driving alongside his orderly when gunmen accosted his vehicle around Ise River while his orderly escape.

Confirming the incident, the state command spokesperson, Kongtons Bello, declined comments on whether ransom was paid or not.

He said, “I can confirm that the DPO of Fugar has been freed by the command operatives from the kidnappers den.”
