The former Deputy Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Enema Paul, has passed away. He died early Saturday at a private hospital in Abuja following a battle with an undisclosed illness.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that until his demise, Hon. Paul represented the Okura State Constituency in Kogi State’s 8th Assembly. He had stepped down from his role as Deputy Speaker due to health concerns, and Hon. Comfort Ojoma Nwuchiola of the Ibaji State Constituency succeeded him.
Reacting to the sad news, the Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf, extended his condolences to the bereaved family through a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Yabagi Mohammed.
In his tribute, Rt. Hon. Yusuf described Hon. Enema Paul as a humble, temperate, and dedicated legislator who was deeply committed to teamwork and fostering the unity of Kogi State. He lauded Paul’s contributions to people-centered legislation that prioritized development and growth.
The Speaker also highlighted Paul’s devotion to Christianity and strong family values, emphasizing his ability to transcend religious boundaries in his approach to public service and leadership.
Offering prayers for comfort and strength to Paul’s family, colleagues, and the members of both the current and previous Assemblies, Rt. Hon. Yusuf underscored the late lawmaker’s legacy as a committed and selfless public servant.
