Eko Hot Blog reports that according to the information, the EFCC operatives and armed security personnel have barricaded Bello’s home located on Benghazi Street, Wuse Zone 4, in Abuja, blocking both entrances to the property.
The siege on Bello’s residence reportedly began shortly after the former governor met with President Bola Tinubu at the State House.
An EFCC official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, revealed that the anti-graft agency’s operatives had attempted to gain entry into the house but were denied access by Bello’s security personnel.
The arrival of Governor Usman Ododo at the scene has added a new dimension to the unfolding events. Ododo arrived at Bello’s Abuja residence at around 2:45 pm, greeted by the cheers of the former governor’s supporters and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

It is worth noting that the EFCC has previously filed charges against Yahaya Bello, accusing him of financial fraud amounting to ₦84 billion. In an amended charge, the anti-graft commission alleged that Bello diverted ₦80 billion of state funds in September 2015, four months before he took office as the governor of Kogi State.
This developing situation at Bello’s Abuja home, with the presence of both the current Kogi State governor and the EFCC operatives, has attracted significant attention and raises questions about the ongoing investigation and the potential implications for the former governor.
