Kogi Poll: APC Denies Involvement In SDP Razed Secretariat

The All Progressive Congress APC, has denied the allegations that it was behind the recent sponsorship of the burnt of Social Democratic Party SDP secretariat in Kogi state.

The Director General of Bello/Onoja Campaign Council Sen. Smart Adeyemi disclosed this over the the weekend at a campaign rally held at un Okene, headquarters of the Central senatorial district.

It could be recalled that SDP Secretariat in Lokoja was reportedly razed by fire on the early hours of Monday. The incident was allegedly said to have been sponsored by a political party contesting in the governorship election in the state.

Adeyemi however, accused the Peoples Democratic Party PDP as perpetrator of the act while calling on the Police to beam its searchlight on the party’s activities.

He said “When the PDP did their primary, they ended it with sporadic gun shooting. We urged the police to beam their searchlights on the parties whose candidates have a criminal record, or facing criminal charges or has criminal tendencies for the arson and violence around the state.”
