Kogi Youths Shun Nationwide Protest as Residents Stay Indoors

Youths in Kogi State have largely stayed away from the ongoing nationwide protest against bad governance and hunger.

Eko Hot Blog reports that crucial areas such as Ganaja Junction, Government House Road, Paparanda, and NATACO are now under heavy security, with a notable presence of the police, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, local vigilantes, and the Federal Road Safety Corps.

In response to the situation, many businesses in Lokoja have closed their doors, wary of potential disruptions linked to the protests.

Despite the security measures, traffic continued to flow as motorists, commercial motorcyclists, and tricycle riders carried on with their daily routines, though with increased vigilance.
