Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq, has praised the Kwara State University (KWASU) for its excellence in academics, research, and community service.
Represented by the Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Dr. Mary Arinde, the governor commended the university during its 12th convocation ceremony in Malete.
The Chancellor, Johnson Bamidele, highlighted KWASU’s contributions to the state’s development and its global recognition.
He noted that the university has expanded from nine to 11 faculties since 2022 and remains committed to fostering innovation and technology-driven education.
During the ceremony, it was revealed that 71 students graduated with First Class honors, 1,828 with Second Class Upper, 3,501 with Second Class Lower, and 974 with Third Class.
The Vice-Chancellor urged graduates to use their education to address global challenges and create opportunities.
The best-graduating student, Mujab Daoud from Computer Science, expressed gratitude and a strong desire to give back to the community, emphasizing his hope and responsibility to make a difference in the world.
