Kwara gov’s Chief of Staff dies at 73
Prince AbdulKadir Mahe, the Chief of Staff to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State, has passed away. He died on Saturday morning and was laid to rest the same day at his residence in Adewole Estate, Ilorin, following the Asr prayer.
Governor AbdulRazaq expressed deep sorrow over the loss, describing Mahe as a distinguished gentleman, community leader, and dedicated public servant.
The Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mallam Rafiu Ajakaye, released a statement on behalf of the governor, offering condolences to the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, the deceased’s family, government officials, and cabinet members.
“We pray that Allah accepts his soul, eases his reckoning, and grants him al-Jannah Firdaus,” the governor said, while also asking for patience and understanding from the public during this difficult time.
The Emir of Ilorin, Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, also expressed his sadness over the loss. In a statement by his spokesperson, Abdulazeez Arowona, the Emir described Mahe as a diligent and committed member of the Alimi dynasty.
“A great loss has occurred in the Ilorin Emirate,” the Emir stated, offering his condolences to Mahe’s family, the governor, and the people of Kwara State.
He prayed for strength and peace for the bereaved family and the entire community during this challenging period.
