Antony scores his third consecutive goal, helping Real Betis beat Real Sociedad 3-0.
Antony also provided an assist for Marc Roca, who scored Betis’ third goal.
Real Betis move up to eighth in the La Liga standings following the win.
Manchester United loanee Antony continued his impressive form with a goal in his third consecutive match, helping Real Betis secure a 3-0 win over Real Sociedad in La Liga.
The 24-year-old Brazilian scored a stunning volley in the 51st minute, meeting a looping clearance with a precise first-time shot that found the bottom corner. Antony also assisted Marc Roca, who netted Betis’ third goal with a drilled finish in the 69th minute, shortly after Roca had scored Betis’ second.
The victory lifted Manuel Pellegrini’s side to eighth place in the La Liga standings. Antony’s recent performances have been a marked improvement, with three goals in his last three matches—matching his total from the previous 30 games in all competitions.
Antony joined Betis on loan until the end of the season after struggling during his two-and-a-half-year spell at Manchester United. Signed for £81.3 million from Ajax in August 2022, he became the second most expensive player in United’s history, behind Paul Pogba. Betis are reportedly covering 84% of his £100,000-plus weekly salary during his time in Spain.
Real Sociedad finished the match with nine men after Igor Zubeldia was sent off in the first half, and Sheraldo Becker received a late red card.
