La Liga: Atletico Madrid Overtake Barcelona With Dramatic Comeback Win

Substitute Alexander Sørloth delivered a dramatic injury-time winner as Atletico Madrid came from behind to defeat Barcelona and seize the top spot in La Liga.

Pedri gave Barcelona the lead in the 30th minute, combining beautifully with Gavi before calmly slotting a low shot past Jan Oblak.

Despite dominating much of the game, Barcelona’s defensive lapse allowed Atletico to equalize in the 60th minute. Rodrigo De Paul pounced on an error by Marc Casado and smashed the ball into the net.

The Catalan side’s inability to capitalize on further opportunities proved costly, as Sørloth fired in Nahuel Molina’s pinpoint cross in the sixth minute of added time, securing Atletico’s 12th consecutive win across all competitions.
