Lagos Announces New Edition Of MSMEs Exclusive Fair

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the 7th annual Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Exclusive Fair will take place in Lagos State at the Blue Roof in Agidingbi from Tuesday, June 28, to Sunday, July 3, 2022.

A statement signed by the Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives, Dr. (Mrs.) Lola Akande, said the fair will be declared open by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and has the theme: “Sustainability of MSMEs on AfTCTA Opportunities for Global and Digitalised Economy”.

Dr. Akande explained that the annual fair is a strategic initiative aimed at enhancing the technical and non-technical entrepreneurial skills of MSME operators while improving their access to broader market networks and financial services in the State.

She said: “The MSME Exclusive Fair was conceptualised to build a strong public-private support system that would enhance the capacity of MSMEs for economic diversification”.

“The administration of Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has made vital interventions in advancing the course of MSMEs in the State, through its regular sponsorship of MSMEs Exclusive Fair, a marketing mechanism used in supporting MSMEs in Lagos State”, she added.

Highlighting the activities slated for the six-day event, the Commissioner said the event will have a daily Business Clinic involving interactions between MSMEs and State/Federal Agencies on diverse key areas affecting MSMEs’ growth and development in the State.

She revealed that the occasion will also feature a Panel Discussion on the theme: “Sustainability of MSMEs on AfTCTA Opportunities for Global and Digitalised Economy”, noting that the discussants were carefully selected among organised private sector partners such as the Lagos Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI), National Association of Small Scale Industrialists (NASSI) and Nigerian Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (NASME) among others.

Dr. Akande stated further that apart from featuring daily workshops, seminars, networking and business marketing sessions, the event will also play host to over 150 business exhibitors who will showcase various products and services, including Made-in-Lagos products.

The Fair would be concluded on Sunday, 3rd July, 2022 with the presentation of Awards and Certificates to outstanding exhibitor
