The Lagos State Government has released a traffic advisory ahead of the 2025 Capital City Race, which will take place on Saturday, November 22, from 6am to 9am in Ikeja.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the 10km marathon, organised by the Lagos State Sports Commission (LSSC) in partnership with the Capital City Race Organisers, will begin at Ikeja Shopping Mall and move through Billings Way, Kudirat Abiola Way, Opebi Link Bridge, Adeniyi Jones, Oba Akran (LASUTH), before ending at Archbishop Vining Memorial Church on Oba Akinjobi Way.

According to the government, several routes, intersections, and access points along the race corridor will experience partial closures and intermittent openings as the athletes progress.

Security and traffic personnel from the Nigerian Police, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) will be deployed to manage movement and ensure safety for both participants and motorists.
The government appealed to road users to cooperate and remain patient, noting that the temporary restrictions are essential to maintain order and reduce congestion during the event.
