Lagos House Of Assembly Sacks Service Commission Boss, Mogaji, Appoints Onafeko New Clerk

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Lagos State House of Assembly on Thursday voted for the sack of the chairman of the State House of Assembly Commission, LAHASCOM, Wale Mogaji.
Mogaji was sacked with a unanimous voice vote by members of the Lagos Assembly on Thursday.
This was disclosed in a statement by Eromosele Ebhomele, the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa.
Part of the statement read, “Mogaji’s sack was approved after a voice vote by members of the House at plenary.
The lawmakers appointed Mrs. Folashade Raulat Latona, as the new Secretary of the Commission. Latona replaces Mrs. Esther Lambo, who retired recently.
“The House also confirmed Barrister Olalekan Onafeko as the substantive Clerk of the House while it elevated three other senior staff to the position of Deputy Clerks.”

Those elevated Deputy Clerks include Mr. Babs Animashaun, Mr. Taiwo Otun and Mrs. Adenike Oshinowo.
“Onafeko was appointed Acting Clerk in 2020.”
The lawmakers further said there was a need for the Governor of the State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to work towards a solution to the flooding incidents that had caused loss of lives and properties in the state lately.
