Lagos Assembly Swears in new member

Lagos State House of Assembly has sworn in a new member, Mr. Saheed Wasiu Obafemi, from Kosofe Constituency 2, who emerged victorious recently in a by-election.

Oaths of allegiance and membership were conducted by the Head of the Legal Department of the Assembly.

Eko Hot Blog gathered that Obafemi was elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) during a by-election on December 5.

The election was necessitated by the death of the lawmaker representing the constituency, Mr. Tunde Braimoh, in July.

Congratulating the lawmaker, Speaker Mudashiru Obasa urged him to collaborate and cooperate with other legislators to ensure swift obligatory delivery.
