Eko Hot Blog reports that Omotola Adeboyejo, a Baale (head of a community) in the Ibeju-Lekki area of Lagos State has fled with his family after he allegedly orchestrated the fatal shooting of a man.
A Twitter user, thegaljubril1, had posted graphic photos of her father on Sunday.
She claimed that Adeboyejo ordered his escort to shoot the victim on Saturday, July 15, 2023, over a land dispute.
She added that the victim was murdered in the presence of his daughter and wife, while seeking justice for her family.
“A power drunk baale(head of town) omotola adeboyejo ordered his (escort mobile police ) to shoot my dad on the head after seriously having boys to beat him up over a land dispute, he took the life of my dad in the presence of my kid sis and step mum,” the victim’s daughter wrote on Twitter.
“He ordered one of his escort to shot [sic] his head after hitting him with a charm , this happened around 10am yesterday June 15 2023 around Museyo Ibeju Lekki Lagos state. Please I’m seeking for the help of All Nigerians to help me out so I can get Justice for my Father.”

The Lagos State Police Command confirmed the incident, saying the Baale who ordered the killing has fled his home with his family.
The command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, stated that the police are working to apprehend the suspect.
“The police arrived the scene shortly after getting the report. The Baale and his boys had fled. The Baale and his family have equally fled their home. Efforts are on to apprehend him and bring him to justice,” Hundeyin wrote on Twitter.
“Investigation is ongoing.”

The police spokesperson added that the force would investigate the allegation that a mobile policeman carried out the shooting.
