Cholera has killed more than 21 Lagos residents and infected over 300 in the last week.

Consumption of unclean water has been identified as one of the factors driving the outbreak.

In a statement on Saturday, the Lagos Water Corporation said it supplied safe and clean water to Oju Olokun community, Adeniji Adele, Lagos Island.

A video shared with Eko Hot Blog shows residents fetching safe and clean water supplied by the water corporation.

“This immediate intervention by the corporation is aimed to minimise further spread of the deadly disease in the area by distributing safe and clean water to the area of the state,” LWC said.
