Eko Hot Blog reports that the Lagos State Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Dr. Oluyinka Olumide, has held separate meetings with the Oniru of Iru Kingdom, HRM Oba Abdul-Wasiu Omogbolahan Lawal, Abisogun II, and the Elegushi of Ikate Land, HRM Oba Aleyeluwa Saheed Ademola Elegushi, Kusenla III.

The focus of the engagements was to discuss issues around the establishment of the Right of Way (RoW) for the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road project, as well as other pressing physical planning matters within their respective domains.
During the meetings, the Commissioner emphasized the importance of the coastal road project, which is intended to enhance connectivity and drive economic development along the Lagos coastline. He stressed the need for close collaboration with the traditional rulers to ensure a seamless implementation process.
The Oniru of Iru Kingdom, HRM Oba Abdul-Wasiu Omogbolahan Lawal, Abisogun II, commended the state government’s efforts in driving infrastructure development and expressed his support for the coastal road project.

Similarly, the Elegushi of Ikate Land, HRM Oba Aleyeluwa Saheed Ademola Elegushi, Kusenla III, welcomed the engagement with the Commissioner and pledged his support for the physical planning initiatives within his domain.
These engagements underscore the Lagos State Government’s commitment to fostering collaborative partnerships with traditional rulers and stakeholders to address critical infrastructure and urban development challenges.
