PHOTOS: Lagos Completes, Undertakes Projects For Youth And Elderly Development

Eko Hot Blog reports that as part of the THEMES+ Developmental Agenda, the Lagos State Government, through the Ministry of Youth and Social Development, has embarked on various projects aimed at enhancing the well-being of the state’s youth and elderly population.

Elderly Care Initiatives

In a bid to cater to the needs of the elderly, the government has constructed Elderly Care Homes in Epe and Badagry.

Revamping Youth Centres

Moreover, the ministry has undertaken the renovation of several Youth Centres across the state, including facilities in Isheri, Popo Oba in Epe, Orile Agege, Badagry, and Ikeja.

Upgrading Existing Facilities

Additionally, the renovation of Homes and Institutions in Owutu and Majidun in Ikorodu has been carried out to enhance the living conditions of the residents.

Completed Projects

During the period under review, several projects have been completed, resulting in the provision of conducive environments for the youth of Lagos State.

These include the Oba Sanni Komolafe Youth Centre in Orile-Agege, the Badagry Youth Centre, and the upgrading of the football pitch and construction of a mini basketball court at the Ikeja Youth Centre.
