Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency to Establish Annex Office in Epe Local Government
Ekohotblog reports that the Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency (LASCOPA) is set to establish an annex office at the Epe Local Government Secretariat following a courtesy visit to the council’s Executive Chairman, Hon. (Princess) Surah Olayemi Animashaun FHTI, on Tuesday, 3rd September 2024.
Mr. Afolabi Solebo, LASCOPA’s General Manager, led the visit and stated, “The new office will make it easier for Epe residents to access our services.” He added, “This office will help address issues like product safety and unfair trade practices more quickly.”

He further explained, “The presence of LASCOPA in Epe will reduce the need for residents to travel to Ikeja for assistance.” Solebo emphasized that this local office aims to make filing complaints and resolving issues more convenient for consumers.
Hon. Animashaun welcomed the initiative, saying, “This move will improve consumer protection and enhance the business environment in Epe.” She highlighted that the new office will empower local consumers and provide better support for their needs.
