The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has approved the appointment of Mr. Oladusi Olugbemi Komolafe, as the Chief Executive Officer, Lagos State Council for Arts and Culture.
This was made known via a letter signed by the Head of Service, Mr. Hakeem Muri-Okunola.
Muri-Okunola stated that in approving the appointment, due cognisance was taken of the appointee’s integrity, selfless service and track record as a passionate arts and culture promoter.

Komolafe succeeds Mrs. Saidat Otulana, who statutorily retired from the public service in December, 2020. He was a former Director, Performing Arts Department, Lagos State Council of Arts and Culture.
The CEO joined the Lagos State Civil Service in August 1988 as a Cultural Officer 11 after graduating from the University of Ibadan with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Language Arts in 1986.
He is a member of the Nigerian Folklore Society International Centre for the Arts; Lagos Arts Writers Organisation of Nigeria; National Cultural Information (Bureau), and a fervent advocate of cultural renaissance.
