A Lagos court sentenced Bamidele Folorunsho to 10 years for indecent treatment and sexual assault of a minor, including fondling her.
Justice Rahman Oshodi sentenced Bamidele Folorunsho to 10 years after he pleaded guilty to his act of indecency.
Initially arraigned in 2021, he changed his plea during a re-arraignment on December 11, 2024.
Folorunsho admitted to assaulting a 12-year-old girl, violating Sections 135 and 263 of Lagos State’s Criminal Law.
The court acknowledged a plea bargain dated December 12, 2024, and the defendant confirmed his understanding and voluntary agreement to the terms.
Corroborated by the defendant counsel, M.I Alagbala who pleaded with the court to accept the plea bargain.
Prosecutor Aluko noted no witnesses were called before Folorunsho accepted a plea bargain. Justice Oshodi sentenced him and ordered his name be added to the sex offender registry.
