“It was the prayers of Prophet Ibrahim that metamorphosed the hitherto desert nation of Saudi Arabia into what it is today,” Dr. Hamzat said, highlighting the transformative power of prayers.
He further stated that no leader deliberately aims to inflict pain or desire failure upon the citizenry, underscoring the significance of divine intervention.
Commending the federal government’s subsidy removal reform, the Deputy Governor revealed that the nation’s monthly oil consumption has been reduced by a billion liters, questioning where the reduced quantity was previously going.
“The total amount hitherto spent on subsidy was much more than the total budgets of the Federal Ministries of Works, Education and Health combined,” he added.
Acknowledging the powerful forces opposing the reform, Dr. Hamzat urged citizens to support the President with their prayers for his success.
“Those hitherto benefitting from subsidy removal were powerful people and as such, it should be expected that they would fight back. Hence, he urged the citizens to support the President with their prayers for him to succeed,” he stated.
The Deputy Governor also cautioned against engaging in curses or vituperation on social media, emphasizing that nations do not develop through such actions.
