The Lagos State Ministry of Health has announced the recovery and discharge of 13 COVID-19 patients after testing negative twice consecutively.
Babajide Sanwo-Olu, governor of Lagos state, made the announcement on Thursday.
According to him, with the discharge of the 11 males and two females, Lagos has now recorded 541 recoveries.
“Good people of Lagos, today, 13 more COVID-19 Lagos patients, 11 males and 2 females, all Nigerians, have been discharged from our Yaba and Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) isolation facilities to reunite with the society,” the statement read.
“The patients, 4 from the Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba and 9 from LUTH Isolation Centres were discharged having fully recovered and tested negative to COVID-19 in two consecutive readings.
“With this, the number of #COVID19 confirmed cases that have been successfully managed and discharged in Lagos is now 541.”
Nigeria crossed the 1,000 mark on recoveries on Wednesday, with a total of 1,070 persons discharged in 30 states and the federal capital territory.
The latest discharge brings the total number of recoveries from the virus in the state to 541.
