This time, authorities are leaving no room for leniency towards establishments that flout environmental regulations.

“Repeated warnings have fallen on deaf ears,” a LASEPA official lamented, justifying the tougher stance.
Severe Penalties for Persistent Offenders Establishments like Red Pepper Bites Limited and Lacibo Restaurant & Lounge now face severe consequences for non-compliance.
In addition to temporary closures, they could be slapped with hefty fines and potential license revocations.
“We’re done with mere slaps on the wrist,” Environment Commissioner Tokunbo Wahab asserted.
Zero-Tolerance Approach in Residential Areas The new measures prioritize residential areas, where noise pollution poses a significant disturbance to public well-being.
