EKO HOT BLOG reports that hoodlums on Friday, launched an attack on men of Lagos Environmental Sanitation Corps (LAGESC), during an official duty at Ketu – Alapere area of the state.

One of the officers was stabbed in the neck in the incident that occured at about 3pm.

However, the Agency’s Special Squad were able to apprehend a suspect identified as Aminu Ahmed. The 29-year-old Kwara State Indigene, was apprehended on Aminu Street.

The Corps Marshal of the Agency, CP Gbemisola Akinpelu (retd) while confirming the incident in a statement said, ‘‘while on operation, men of our Special Squad were attacked and one Aminu Ahmed, 29 from Kwara State and a resident of the area who stabbed our officer was apprehended.

“The activities of hoodlums who attack our officers on lawful duty is one too many and we remain unfazed by the activities of these evil elements who hurled projectiles at our operational trucks’’.
