Eko Hot Blog reports that the Lagos State AIDS Control Agency (LSACA) has reinforced its commitment to combating the HIV/AIDS epidemic through a comprehensive strategic planning initiative.
In collaboration with the Local Health System Sustainability Project (LHSS), LSACA recently organized a two-day Annual Operational Development Plan Workshop.

The workshop’s primary objective was to develop a comprehensive Annual Operational Plan that will serve as a roadmap for monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the 2021-2026 State HIV and AIDS Strategic Plan, aligned with the National Strategic Framework.
“The Annual Operational Plan goes beyond mere documentation as it’s a vital tool for facilitating the rigorous monitoring and evaluation of the State’s progress in combating HIV/AIDS,” said Dr. Folake Animashaun, Chief Executive Officer of LSACA, during her opening remarks.
The strategic initiative aims to assess the effectiveness of the State’s HIV/AIDS response and ensure the efficient utilization of the Agency’s limited resources for targeted programs. Dr. Animashaun emphasized the state’s unwavering commitment to maximizing the impact of every endeavor within the HIV/AIDS response framework.

The workshop brought together diverse stakeholders, including Implementing Partners, Line Ministries, and Networks, fostering collaboration, innovation, and collective efforts toward the goal of eradicating new HIV infections by 2030.
“We appreciate the esteemed stakeholders’ steadfast support and dedication to achieving the global HIV and AIDS targets set for the State,” Dr. Animashaun acknowledged.
