Lagos State Government has launched a comprehensive monitoring exercise to ensure that all public and private basic and secondary schools in the state comply with the new academic calendar for the 2024/2025 session.
The exercise, led by Mr. Remi Abdul, Director of Planning, Research and Statistics in the Office of Education Quality Assurance (OEQA), aims to guarantee that academic activities commence on the first day of resumption after a brief cleaning exercise in all schools.
Abdul emphasized that the monitoring exercise is crucial to ensuring that schools have made adequate preparations to receive students, with all facilities in good condition and teachers present for a smooth start to academic and non-academic activities.
He encouraged learners to stay focused and study diligently to achieve success in the new session.
Mr. Kamardeen Akodu, Director, Monitoring and Investigation in OEQA, noted that the exercise is designed to enforce compliance with the agreed-upon academic calendar and assess schools’ readiness for the new session.
