The exquisite High Point Event Center at the heart of Ikeja was a beehive of activities for the traditional wedding between two prominent and influential Lagos families.
It was indeed a moment of pride for the families of Chief and Mrs. Wale Mogaji and late Professor Omoloje and Mrs. Bolanle Ajala, as they hosted dignitaries and guests for the first leg of the momentous 2-day wedding ceremony set to culminate on Saturday, July 29th.
Beyond a mere nod to family traditions, the traditional wedding served as a testament to the profound bond between Simisola and Olaoluwapo, breathing life into their shared dream; affection intertwined gracefully with desire, forming the foundation for their lifelong journey ahead.
The ceremony commenced with a grand procession of dignitaries, led by the Alaga Ijoko and the MC who artfully paid homage to the rich heritage and cherished traditions.
Crafty cameras captured crucial moments with the cutting of the creamy cake in confectionary delight, creating beautiful and meaningful memories as meals melted in the mouth and gifts were presented, by various organizations, the Iposun Descendants and the League of Friends.
In an exclusive interview with Eko Hot Blog, the bride’s father, Chief Wale Mogaji, the Otun Balogun of Epe Kingdom, noted that watching his daughter take a giant leap into the loving arms of her heartthrob was pure delight for him.
“All I wish them is God’s guidance and blessing on this journey of a lifetime they’ve started today.”
In heartfelt emotions, he also extended his heartfelt appreciation for the unwavering support of family members and friends whose presence added color to the occasion.
As the event was wrapping up, the bridal train, groom, bride, families, and delighted guests moved in rhythmic dance steps to the soulful tunes of the Faith Band which swept through the air beyond the walls of High Point Event Center, reverberating into enduring laughter and joy, in a home built with bricks of love and longings.
From all of us at Eko Hot Blog, we wish Simisola and Anuoluwapo a happy married life.
