Lagos Permanent Secretary Counsels Student On moral Virtues During Carol

The Tutor-General and Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Education District I, Barrister Titilayo Solarin, has implored with students within the District to circumvent immoral attitudes apt of hindering the steady running of their educational competitions. The Lagos State Permanent Secretary has urged students within the state to stop any act of immorality as students in public schools as they prepare for an end-of-the-year holiday from academic exercises.

Enunciating at the Y2020 version of the annual Carol of Nine Lessons governed by the District and held at the New Covenant Baptist Church, Ifako-Ijaiye, Barrister Solarin, let out that the event has become one of the annual activities by the District and a way of appreciating God for the prosperous academic voyage since the inception of the year.

Eko Hot Blog learned that The Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary, was represented by the Director of Admin and Human Resources in the District, Mrs. Grace Olubunmi-Olaopin, and she persuaded the students to use the holiday to seek the countenance of God while they commemorate the Christmas season and beyond.

She explained, “We cannot over-emphasize the challenges encountered by our education system this year, it was sudden and unexpected. While we are grateful for the smooth return of activities in our schools, it is also important to use the opportunity of this end of the year holiday to seek the face of God to help avert a re-occurrence of anything capable of threatening our academic calendar”.

“I want our students to remember that Jesus came to this world for all of us. He didn’t just come, he came and died. So, I implore all our students not to live a life that will be contrary to what Jesus stood for, which is holiness, and I believe that with holiness they will be able to fulfill their glorious destinies”, Barrister Solarin restated.

She also called for caution among students and the entire residents of the State given the onslaught of the second wave of the Coronavirus pandemic in the State, urging them not to lose guard but comply with all necessary safety shields.
