State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, justified the officers’ request for a permit but condemned the attempt to solicit money as unprofessional.
Hundeyin confirmed to our correspondent on Saturday that disciplinary action had been taken, demoting the officer from Inspector to Sergeant.
“His disciplinary process has been concluded. He has been reduced in rank from Inspector to Sergeant,” Hundeyin said.
Hundeyin had in the statement clarified that Nigerian aviation laws stipulated the need to secure a permit before flying a drone.
