Lagos Red Line Railway’s Vehicular Flyover At 85% Completion Rate – Sanwo-Olu

Eko Hot Blog reports that Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Tuesday, visited the Yaba station of the Lagos Red Line Railway which runs from Oyingbo to Agbado to inspect the progress of the project.
The Red Line rail project is a 37-kilometer rail route.

In a post on his Twitter handle Tuesday evening, the governor said the rail’s station is 75% completed, while the vehicular flyover is 85% completed.
Sanwo-Olu noted that the rail is a “game-changer” for transportation in Lagos and will improve connectivity for residents in the area.
He also disclosed that the Lagos government is working tirelessly to ensure the Oyingbo station of the Red Line is completed on schedule.
“I just visited the Yaba station of the Lagos Red Line Railway which runs from Oyingbo to Agbado and I’m pleased with the progress made so far,” the governor wrote.
“The station is at 75% completion while the vehicular flyover is at 85% completion
“This station is a game-changer for transportation in Lagos and will improve connectivity for residents in the area. I also took some time to interact with residents in the area.
“Our team is working tirelessly to ensure the Oyingbo station of the Red Line is completed on schedule.
“This station will provide a much-needed alternative to road transportation in the area and reduce travel time significantly.
“It’s exciting to see the progress made on the #LagosRedLineRailway project.
“This infrastructure development is one of our top priorities as a government and we are committed to delivering a world-class transportation system for our citizens.
