Lagos Restricts Building Site Working Hours

The Lagos State Government has issued a directive limiting working hours at building sites statewide to 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Saturday, Eko Hot Blog reports.
Dr. Oluyinka Olumide, the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, made the announcement on Thursday in Alausa, emphasizing that the restriction order must be followed by all involved in building construction in the state.

However, exceptions may be granted on a case-by-case basis, provided that a formal application is submitted and reviewed by the appropriate authorities.
Olumide explained that the decision to restrict working hours at building sites is aimed at safeguarding the environment, reducing building collapse incidents, and promoting social well-being and wellness.
