Eko Hot Blog reports that the Office of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), led by the Special Adviser to the Governor on SDGs, Dr. Oreoluwa Finnih, and the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Tolani Oshodi, paid a courtesy visit to the Consular General of the Netherlands, Mr. Micheal Deepen, to deepen partnership on Sustainable City and Community.
During the strategic meeting, discussions focused on the Office’s Lighthouse Project, and both parties pledged to strengthen collaboration to achieve this initiative. Ideas were also exchanged on circular and digital economy, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), and other pertinent areas.
The SDGs delegation included the Technical Adviser to the Special Adviser on SDGs, Mr. Segun Ojo, Director of Public Affairs, Mr. Sanusi Abdulateef, Head of Special Project, Dr. Bunmi Akinlade, and Head of Sister City, Mrs. Yemisi Tokan-Lawal.
The visit aimed to foster cooperation between Lagos State and the Netherlands in promoting sustainable development, particularly in the areas of urban planning, infrastructure, and environmental management. By leveraging the expertise and resources of both parties, the partnership seeks to create more livable and resilient communities in Lagos.
