A Lagos socialite and first traditional ruler of the Iguruland, Aguda Surulere, Lagos, Alhaji Buari Alade Oloto, popularly known as ‘Abu Oloto’ has reportedly passed on.
It was learnt the monarch died at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja.
He died at the age of 80.
His death was confirmed to EkoHotBlog by a family member who pleaded anonymity as there was no official pronouncement yet.
The detail of his death is yet to be ascertained as of the time of writing this report.
Oloto, who was on Lagos social scene for over 40 years, became the king of Iguruland in Aguda Surulere in September 2020. Some historians have described Iguruland as the origin of many Aworis in Surulere.
