EKO HOT BLOG reports that Lagos standstill on Sunday as residents trooped out in thousands to welcome the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, back to Lagos State, barely 12 days after winning the party’s presidential primary.
Tinubu, who alighted from the plane at 3:40, was received by a mammoth crowd of APC supporters on his arrival in Lagos State for the first time after the party’s primary, which was held between June 8 and 9, 2022, where he emerged the presidential candidate for the 2023 General Elections.
This news platform gathered that for several hours, people waited for Asiwaju Tinubu at the presidential wing of the Lagos Airport drumming and singing as they expect the aircraft of the APC presidential candidate to touch the ground.
Tinubu, who alighted from the plane at 3:40, was received by a mammoth crowd of APC supporters on his arrival in Lagos State for the first time after the party’s primary, which was held between June 8 and 9, 2022, where he emerged the presidential candidate for the 2023 General Elections.
The former Governor of Lagos State was accompanied by the Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje; former Governor of Borno State, Kassim Shetima, among others.
Also on hand to welcome him were the state Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, his Deputy, Obafemi Hamzat, and Speaker of the state House of Assembly, and Mudashiru Obasa, among others.
