Lagos State Accountant General, Abiodun Muritala, Loses Mother

Lagos state accountant General, Dr Shefiu Abiodun Muritala, on Friday, 19th March 2021, lost his mother, Sariu Akanke Muritala.

Ekohotblog reports the remains of Ms Sariu was interred on Saturday 20th March 2021 according to Islamic rites at 14, Ita Osugbo Street, Epe, Lagos State.

Earlier, Ms Sariu was brought into Epe from Lagos before being conveyed to from Epe Central Mosque, Ita-Opo — in company of children, family members, friends, and well-wishers — for Solat-ul-Janazah.

The Solat-ul-Janazahh was led by the Grand Chief Imam of Epe Land and Chief Imam, Epe Central Mosque, Ita-Opo, Alhaji Sheikh Abdul-Lateef Oladapo Ayeogbaro alongside other famous Ulamas in Epe.

After the completion of the solatulJanazahh, her remains was taken to the final resting place at her Ita-Osugbo residence where she was interred.

Ulamas at the funeral prayers harped on the need for children to take good care of their parents as such a kindhearted attitude is rewarding in the sights of Almighty Allah. While the Ulamas prayed for forgiveness of her shortcomings and paradise, they also prayed for the repose of her beautiful soul.

Ekohotblog also gathered that a host of Government Officials, Lawmakers, Party Stalwarts, Traditional, Community and Religious Leaders thronged the venue of the interment to pay last respect to the deceased. Notable are Oba Kamorudeen Animashaun, Oloja of Epe Land and Oba Shefiu Adewale, Olu-Epe of Epe Kingdom ably represented by their Royal insignia, Olu-Epe-in-Council and Oloja Epe-in-Council Chiefs, His Eminence, Alhaji Sheikh Abiola Sadala, Chief Imam, First Epe Central Mosque, Oke-Balogun and President General, League of Imams and Alfas, Epe Division, Dr MA Shittu, DEAN, Student Affairs MOCPED, Alhaji Akeusola Balogun, National Deputy Imam, Zumuratul Islamiyyah Society of Nigeria, Hon. Anifowoshe Dengel, Hon Rotimi Olowo, Hon Oluwaseun Dahunsi, Member, Lagos State House of Assembly, Epe Constituency II, Alhaji Balogun (MAIB), Alhaja Bankole, Lagos APC State Welfare Officer amongst many other eminent personalities.
