Lagos State Driver’s Institute, Says It Has Trained 134 Driving School Instructors On Traffic Rules And Regulations
The Lagos state Driver’s institute, LASDRI, has trained 134 driving school instructors at the year 2020 Train -The-Trainer workshop at Alausa, Ikeja. The training is to ensure safety and also reduce human faults, fatalities and accidents on the roads.
The General Manager LASDRI, Mrs. Afusat Tiamiyu, said that the training was to arrange and put the driving school instructors up to date with traffic rules and registration in order to reduce accidents on roads. She noted in her speech at the completion of the two-day workshop that drivers need a fresh education on driving in Lagos and also diversify capacity building in the training of drivers that drivers frequently.

She explicably said that it is a necessity for Lagos state to have needs for new rules and regulations that should guide all actions and behaviors of road users to prevent accidents and also enhance the free flow of traffic. “This traffic rules are not made just for fashion, it is designed to protect you and other drivers on the road, we must create awareness that traffic rules are on, for better transportation system of Lagos and our country at large” she explained.
Mrs Tiamiyu revealed that since the officials of the traffic management agencies which included Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), Vehicle Inspection Service(VIS) and the Federal Road Safety Corps(FRSC) were present, then all case of traffic regulations were discussed.
