Lagos State Governor Visits Scene Of Building Collapse In Banana Island

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu visited the site of the building collapse at Banana Island, Lagos.

The seven-storey building collapsed while casting was being done on the building on 12th April, 2023.

The Lagos State Governor went together with delegations of the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Tayo Bamigbose-Martin, Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, General Manager, Lagos State Building Control Agency, LABSCA, and other engineers.

The building collapsed on Wednesday, April 12, while casting was being done on the structure, according to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA). The government has alleged that the collapsed building was unapproved.
The governor led a delegation, including the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Tayo Bamigbose-Martin, Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, General Manager, Lagos State Building Control Agency, LABSCA, and other engineers, to inspect the collapsed structure located at First Avenue, Banana Island on Saturday, April 22.
