Lagos State Govt Begins 2022 Promotion Exercise

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Lagos State Government has begun the process of promoting qualified employees to the next grade level.
The Revised Structured Training Programme (RSTP) began on Monday, June 6, 2022, at four different locations: the Adeyemi Bero Auditorium in Alausa, the Folarin Coker Conference Room in Alausa, the Women Development Centre in Agege, and the State Treasury Resources Centre in Ikeja.
Mrs. Olubunmi Fabamwo, Chairman of the Lagos State Civil Service Commission, stated at the Adeyemi Bero Auditorium that the RSTP was organized as part of the criteria for the Year 2022 Promotion Exercise for eligible Public Servants in the State.
Mrs. Fabamwo revealed that over 6000 officers took part in the Cross-Cutting course, which will be followed by the Job Specific Course, which will prepare officers for higher-level responsibilities.
The Chairman went on to say that the training sessions will help officers understand the Lagos State Government’s various policies in relation to individual job schedules and cadres.
Performance Improvement Course II for officers in Grade Levels 7 – 9 and Performance Improvement Course III for officers in Grade Levels 10 – 12 are the sessions that eligible employees must attend.

Mrs. Fabanwo elaborated on some of the topics, stating that they will cover the T.H.E.M.E.S Agenda as well as the Lagos State Government’s previous Development Agenda; supervisory and basic management functions; power and relationships; developing imagination and creativity; communication and writing skills; 21st Century skills and service delivery, among others.
Around 3,390 eligible officers from all cadres of the civil service are expected to take part in the promotion exercise, which will include virtual and physical interactive interview sessions.
