– Lagos State has expressed its readiness to close down Oba Ogunji Road.
– The decision is meant to carry out rehabilitation on the road.
– The road will be closed down between 9 to 30 September 2020.
The Lagos State Government through the Commissioner for Transportation, Dr Frederic Oladeinde on Monday 7 September, 2020 disclosed it would temporarily shut down Oba Ogunji Road, between Iju and Ijaiye Road.

The state government which revealed this on its verified Twitter handle maintained that the road which is to be closed down between 9 to 30 September, 2020 is meant to facilitate the rehabilitation that would be carried out on the road which predominantly includes the ongoing construction of Pen Cinema Flyover.
The statement further enjoined Lagosians to exercise resilient as the maintenance is meant to decongest the traffic on the road when eventually completed.
