Abolaji charged the students to remain focused, diligent and determined at school, stressing that education and hard work is the bedrock of attaining success in life.

In his words: “You cannot be a lazy person and succeed in life. Your parents have helped you to start well in life by paying your school fees, buying school uniforms and providing your personal needs, but your parents cannot help you to read. That is why you need to put in the hard work in order to succeed and attain a bright future for yourself”.

The Permanent Secretary explained the organisational structure of the Ministry and how the staff work diligently to actualise the Lagos State Education Transformational Plan, imploring the students to strive towards achieving their dreams as they have a great future ahead of them.

In his remarks, the Headteacher, Caleb British International School, Lekki-Ajah, Emmanuel Aderowo, appreciated the Permanent Secretary for the warm welcome, stating that the visit was in recognition of the International Day of Education which is celebrated on 24th January of every year.

Aderowo commended the State Government for its enormous efforts to improve the education sector of the State, particularly the introduction of technology and other initiatives towards enhancing teaching and learning in all Lagos schools.

The high point of the visit was the question and answer session between the Permanent Secretary and the students who sought clarifications on the policies, programmes and initiatives introduced by the State Government.
