Lagos State Taskforce Arrests 30 Suspected Criminals in Agege Cleanup Operation

In a concerted effort to combat crime and restore order in Lagos State, the Lagos State Taskforce conducted a successful raid in Agege on Tuesday, May 20, 2025.

Eko Hot Blog reports that the operation which commenced at 10:00 p.m., targeted areas known for criminal activities, such as Isale Oja, the railway line, and AP Junction.

As reported by Jubril Gawat, Senior Assistant on New Media to the Lagos State Governor in his social media post, he said the raid resulted in the arrest of 30 suspected criminals.

All suspects will be charged in court as part of the ongoing efforts to ensure the safety and security of the state’s residents.

He reteireated the government’s dedication to ensuring a safe and secure environment for the residents of Lagos State.

The post reads: “In continuation of the Lagos State Taskforce CleanUp enforcement operation to rid the State of criminal elements, the Agency set out at about 2200hrs on Tuesday, 20th May, 2025 and embarked on its ongoing clean up enforcement operation in the state.

“The areas visited during the operation includes; Isale Oja, Railways line, AP junction in Agege areas where the presence of some undesirable elements was noticed, particularly on the rail track.

“During the RAID exercise, a total number of 30 suspects were arrested and sanity was restored. All the Suspects will be charged to court accordingly.
