Three teachers of Lagos State have won the 2019 President’s Teachers and Schools Excellence Award (PTSEA).
The teachers, Elusaki Iyabo, Ikuseyidunmi Pius and Adeniyi Oluwasegun were awarded for their exemplary performance in the Education Sector in commemoration of the global World Teachers Day.
tlThe Lagos State Commissioner for Education, Mrs Folasade Adefisayo, said the award is reciprocation of the State Government’s priority to the education sector.
“As a State, in spite of all odds, we have the dexterity and professionality to attain greater heights in delivering quality education to our future leaders.”
She said that the Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration remains committed to improving the quality of education in the state as the governor has promised to increase budgetary allocation to education.
She further stated that the state will deploy technology to the sector as well as employ more teachers and create a more conducive teaching and learning environment.
