EKO HOT BLOG reports that some police officers have been accused of stabbing a soldier to death in Ogijo area of Ikorodu in Lagos State, which caused palpable tension in the area.
This online media platform learned that the incident which happened on Wednesday evening led to series of shootings in the area.
It was gathered that the policemen took cover at Ogijo Police Station when they discovered the victim was a military officer.
A source in the area who spoke with The Punch said he narrowly escaped death as people are shooting in the area.
He said, “I could not identify those shooting cause it was already dark. As I came down from the bus, they just started shooting and everybody scampered for safety. I narrowly escaped death tonight.”
