The Lagos State Government, through the Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, LSMPWB, is set to hold a one-day seminar for the 2019 intending pilgrims to the holy lands of Makkah and Madina on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at the Blue Roof, Lagos Television (LTV), Agidingbi, Ikeja by 10 am prompt.
According to the Executive Secretary of the Board, Mr. Rahman Ishola, the seminar is organised with a view to creating an avenue for the intending pilgrims to have a face-to-face interaction with the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.
He said the Governor is also expected to use the avenue to admonish the pilgrims on how best they should conduct themselves in the Holy land and be goodwill ambassadors for the State throughout their stay in Saudi Arabia.
Ishola said the seminar will also serve as a unifying point of convergence as well as afford the intending pilgrims from all the 20 Local Governments and 37 Local Council Development Areas in the State the opportunity to meet one another and network for better spiritual enhancement.
Also expected at the one-day seminar are the Deputy Governor, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat; the Amir-ul-Hajj, Dr. AbdulLateef AbdulHakeem; Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, Mrs. Adebunmi Adekanye and the Chief Imam of Lagos, Sheikh Sulaiman Abou-Nollah, amongst other prominent personalities.
