The Lagos State Government said it is set to host National Economic Council Monitoring Committee as part of Federal Government effort to the economy repository defence. The Lagos State Government will be payed a visit to by Implementation Monitoring Committee (IMC) of the national Economic Council (NEC) from Tuesday,December 8 to Wednesday, December 9, 2020
This statement was issued by the Lagos State Resilience Office, Ministry Of Economic Planning and Budget. The statement states that the National Economic Council in its effort will make sure that successful implementation of the 71 resolutions, with the help of the set committee; the Implementation Steering committee (ISC), chaired by the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo and the Implementation Monitoring Committee, chaired by the Honourable Minister of State,Budget and National Planning, Prince Clem Ikanade Agba will be a life changing Journey.

It also states that the Committee will monitor projects of the State Government as captured in the 71 economic council, covering major theumatic areas including; Agriculture, infrastructure, Solid Minerals, Investment, Industrialization, Empowerment, Revenue Generation, to mention but few.
The committee promised that economy recession will be stopped and leverate as soon as possible with the help of the chosen Economy Directors and board members to help and ensure that citizens stop suffering even as Covid’19 is spreading across the State incessantly and badly.
Eko Hot Blog has learnt that E-template was sent to all Commissioners of Economic Planning and Budget on order to chart a way forward for the commencement of the 2nd phase of the projects monitoring across the States by IMC. As part of the Federation efforts, Office of the Vice President and the Nigeria Governors in Forum, will monitor projects executed in Lagos while their reports are to be presented in the State.
